VADA awakes!
A fabulous new series of workshops starting on 29th October 2018. All welcome. All workshops will be fun, friendly, welcoming and inclusive. They are all FREE and will last about two hours. Monday 29th October 2018: James Monaghan - innovative performer and workshop organizer active with Sheepknuckle - "Experts- you are the expert of your own life", a performance workshop
Thursday 8th November: Mark Hill - long time member of VADA as performer, director and workshop leader, and now Community Artist- "Viddy VADA-Making creative video on your phone”
Thursday 15th November: Ali Wilson - finalist for Young Creative of the Year award for her role in producing 'Temporary Monument, Permanent Protest!' which celebrated 30 years since Manchester’s iconic Section 28 march - "Devising: Making from Scratch".
Tuesday 4th December: Stephen Hornby - previously artistic director of VADA, now a multi-award winning playwright and artistic director of Inkbrew Productions. He is National Playwright in Residence to LGBT History Month and under commission to several museums. His award-winning short film ‘Unchechen’ has been screened around the world and his next stage play, ‘The Adhesion of Love’, is due in 2019. The workshop title is "Playing with the past-writing from the archive”.
This is your chance to try and/or develop performance, writing and backstage skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Newcomers and old hands are all welcome.
